About Emma

Emma started her career as and R&D scientist for Unilever following her Chemistry degree at the University of Warwick. It was because of her own maternity experience that she decided to leave her R&D job and study for an MBA at the University of Liverpool, which is where the idea for Dearbump began. She started out in 2018 selling pregnancy subscription boxes tailored for each pregnancy to help women feel better prepared for their births. Alongside running the business, she re-skilled as a software developer and spent 3 years in tech delivery (Salesforce, Fullstack JS) before working on Dearbump full time.
Her quick progression to a senior developer position within 2 years of reskilling highlights her strengths in project management & product management as well as a strong practical working knowledge on how to build software solutions for messaging applications. Now in her position as CEO of Dearbump, she is the key decision maker of the company.
